I want to recovery my normal Student Life! Sometimes it's the little things that make or break a manga, and this mangaka needs some help in areas. What was the point in pretending to be nice, or was it part of the cover she cooked up for reconnaissance? Except, that she was honestly surprised to discover the male lead in the mall and therefore that explanation loses all validity. Case in point, in chapter 4, a tower witch is helping a lost girl find her parents at the mall, then immediately does a 180-degree personality swap when she encounters the male protagonist and smacks her out of her hand. They're inconsistent in their behaviors and personality, and for the most part just act stupid for no reason. Speaking of bad guys, I can't take these half-assed jokers seriously. While the manga itself is chock full of action sequences, the fights themselves are dull and boring, usually involving big elaborate flames changing shapes into various star-shaped explosions or blazes that pretty much end with the enemies lying on the ground. I don't like weak main characters, but I also abhor overpowered leads and unfortunately, this series has both. Two-dimensional characters and slow story advancement makes it a chore to finish a chapter and worse, at no point is there any form of hook to draw in readers, even if it must resort to lowly nudity. It's almost like there was no editors behind the scene to guide the mangaka in creating a manga people would like to read. Everything about this manga is presented with this non-chiseled rawness. This manga deserves the lowest score I've ever given manga, but I'm probably just upset that this manga does very little to redeem itself. Lighthearted and half-assed sums them all up. Doesn't help that we have yet to see a really serious enemy too. The first villain already succeeded in dooming the main character very early in the story, making all the following villains meaningless. The flashbacks are way more interesting than the normal story. The humour tries too hard sometimes, like a high school girl doesn't know how babies are made, but generally it is ok. Not like they are not one dimensional as well, but at least they care about what's happening around them. Side characters are what keeping this entertainable as they show way more emotions. When the normal story starts he just pretty much ignores her, showing not the slightest concern. I don't feel like the MCs are 'alive', without any emotion they just state their texts like a bad actor would.įor example in flashbacks we see the boy caring greatly for his high school brocon sister (often bathing and sleeping together, not going with classmates just to pick her up from school and many other things. Both started out and remained one dimensional in their acting. Girl just barges into his life and the boy accepts everything without any reasoning or serious resistance. The Manga has a serious problem with bland Main Characters (both boy and girl).
